Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (CertTEFL)

The Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (CertTEFL) is a highly practical qualification which has been specifically designed to develop the skills required for people wishing to embark on a career as an EFL teacher.

First Certificate for Teachers of Business English

First Certificate for Teachers of Business English is designed for qualified teachers of general English who wish to gain a supplementary specialist teaching qualification in English for business purposes. The qualification is designed to broaden a teacher’s management skills as well as their understanding of business practice, processes and procedures. It provides teachers with the skills required to teach English to the growing number of people who aspire to use English in a professional, business context.

Certificate in Practical ICT Skills

This suite of qualifications is designed for candidates who want to develop and progress their practical ICT skills. The qualifications aim to enable candidates to develop their understanding and practical ability across the key areas of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database, Presentation Software and Email, Internet and IT Security at the respective levels.

English Language Skills Assessment

Examination recognized by the Ministry of Education, Romania

English Language Skills Assessment (ELSA) is a set of diagnostic tests covering the four language skills – listening, reading, speaking and writing. ELSA tests cover all levels of English language ability from very low to very high (Council of Europe A1 to C1/C2) on a single scale for each skill.

 

English for Tourism

The Level 1 Written English for Tourism (WEFT1) is designed for candidates who wish to be able to communicate effectively, in written English, at a customer liaison level within the hospitality, travel and tourism industry. Successful candidates can progress to achieve the Level 1 English for Tourism qualification by achieving Level 1 Spoken English for Tourism (SEFT1).
The Level 2 Written English for Tourism (WEFT 2) is designed for candidates preparing for, or working in, and who wish to be able to communicate effectively in written English at a professional level. It is intended for staff involved in administrative and managerial roles in the field. Skills are developed further from Level 1 to improve comprehension of related materials.
Successful candidates can progress to achieve the Level 2 English for Tourism qualification by achieving Level 2 Spoken English for Tourism (SEFT2).

 

JETSET ESOL

Examination recognized by the Ministry of Education, Romania.

The JETSET  (Junior English Tests, Senior English Tests) ESOL International Qualifications are skills based English Language qualifications that have been designed to develop and assess a candidate’s ability to communicate in English. The tests are taken under examination conditions and increasing levels of difficulty and cover the four skill areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. ESOL International Qualifications are intended for candidates who are not native speakers of English and who wish to achieve a high quality, internationally recognised qualification in English that is available and recognised world-wide.
The qualifications are available at 8 levels, each level consisting of 3 mandatory components (Listening comprehension test, Reading test and Writing tests and one optional component (Speaking test). The only exception is Foundation level where there is no Writing test. For levels Foundation, 1, 2, 3 and 4, JET and SET contextualised versions of the assessments are now available.
The qualifications have been closely aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF) at levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 respectively. These levels have also gained accreditation by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as ESOL International Qualifications.

 

English for Business

Examination recognized by the Ministry of Education, Romania

This examination is aimed at candidates for whom establishing and sustaining English speaking business relationships is essential, and at those considering relocation to an English-speaking country. The skills attained at this level should be sufficient for the candidate to participate in all complex areas of business. Level 3 is generally the standard required for entry to English-speaking universities. The qualification consists of a mandatory reading and writing exam and optional speaking and listening exams.
The qualification is closely aligned to the Common European Framework.
